Christmas Deliveries of Love Coming December 11, 2011!

The Gathering Place will be filled with donated food! There’s all kinds of breakfast items, sugar, flour, canned fruits and veggies, box dinners, macaroni and cheese, soups, spaghetti noodles, rice, sloppy joe mix, snack foods! THE NEED IS GREATER THAN EVER! Our hope is to deliver 250 boxes of food with love to our community in need.

So join the fun of giving and serving Jesus this Christmas as we do this together! Here’s how you can help:

-Bring donated items listed above, plus any other non-perishable food items, to the Gathering Place starting November 6. We will gather food through December 6.

-Join us for the SET-UP DAY on the Saturday before the deliveries, December 10 at 9 AM. This if fun for the whole family! You should have seen Madison and Emary Carson helping their dad and mom bag up rolls of toilet tissue last year­– everybody is BIG HELP!!

-Come to the Gathering Place on Sunday, December 11, and get a name of a family and a box and fill it up with food, love and your prayers and go make a memory of love as you deliver it to a needy family.

Christmas music will be playing as senior citizens to little kids fill Christmas-paper-wrapped boxes with all those good things. These boxes will go to families in need in our church, God’s Resort neighborhood, and families in the North Middle School and Columbia Elementary School, as well as families we have built relationships with in our community through the tornado relief efforts.

The hot chocolate and Christmas cookies will be ready and so will the true meaning of Christmas, “For God so loved the world He gave….”
