Special Needs

A ministry of College Heights for people with special needs

Desiring to do whatever it takes, through truth, relationship, and serviceThru the Roof ministry exists to give people of all abilities and their families the opportunity to glorify God.

In March of 2009, a group of seven, representing many others that are interested in this ministry to people with disabilities and their families, met and chose the name Thru the Roof from the story in Mark 2, where the paralytic's friends lowered him through the roof to Jesus to be healed!

Sunday mornings:  Currently there is one Bible School class meeting at 9:15 am
                                      for children and young adults.

Volunteers are needed for a parents' class/support group
to be started and another young adult class.

Wednesday evening:    During the fall semester we will use this time to teach ways
that we can bring glory to God.  The monthly schedule is:

           1st Wednesday - Games / Sports
           2nd Wednesday - Arts
           3rd Wednesday - Cooking

Outside the Box:

We look for ways to help and encourage families outside our program.
This is done by sending cards, visiting homes, hospital calls, or cooking

a meal.
