Storm - Survivors

Many of our community have experienced a profound loss following the May 22 tornado.
If you are one of the survivors, we want to help.

If your home was destroyed or damaged, or if you are without work due to the storm,
a Distribution Center has been created
on our campus to provide for basic needs you may have.
People from all over Joplin and the nation have donated truck-loads
and semi-loads of material goods to get you through this difficult season.  We invite you to stop by the church to visit the Distribution Center during its open hours.

Distribution Center Hours:
Monday - Friday    10:00 - 6:00 PM
Closed Saturday & Sunday

You will be asked to provide proof that your home or job was affected by the storm.
If your home was affected, please bring verification of your pre-storm address such as a driver's license, FEMA letter, etc.  If your job was affected, please provide verification of your employment such as a paycheck stub, bank statement, etc.

Here is a list of items that you will find at the Distribution Center:

  • non-perishable food
  • personal care items
  • paper products
  • baby goods
  • household items
  • cleaning supplies
  • medical supplies
  • pet supplies

WORK CREWS
College Heights is also involved in sending out work crews
into the devastated areas, utilizing a Volunteer Marketplace
where we match the needs of homeowners with the skills of trades people and workers
who are volunteering their services.  To communicate your cleanup and rebuilding needs, email the church at survivors@chcchurch.org

Our plan is to be here for the long haul…
partnering with you as we all help restore our community.
